INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMPLIANCE CONFERENCE (2nd EDITION)
Businnesses in the world of new global (dis)balaces. Planning in the age of uncertainty.
Following the success of the first edition, the second edition of the Stati Generali International Trade Compliance returns to Milan on 29–30 September 2025. The event “Businesses in the World of New (Dis)Balances” is organised by Studio Legale Padovan in collaboration with AT+ICA (European Association of Trade Investment Control Compliance Attorneys), the first European network of lawyers specialising in this field.
This initiative serves as a high-level forum to explore the most current and strategic issues in trade compliance: from international economic sanctions to European security, from export controls to rearmament, and from new regulations on sustainability and deforestation to the implications of digitalisation and artificial intelligence in the sector.
A key focus of the discussions will be the complex dynamics between China, the United States, and the European Union, analysing their divergent strategies and converging impacts on global supply chains. Topics will include tariffs and trade barriers, security, export controls, as well as ethics, due diligence, and new corporate compliance models—such as the implementation of EU Directive 2024/1226 on European crimes.
The programme features high-level keynote speeches, four plenary sessions, and twelve thematic workshops designed to delve into operational challenges and foster the development of new skills and strategies.
