PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Massimo was born in 1977. He started practicing law in 2004, specializing in tax, customs, and international trade law. He was admitted to the Bar in 2009. He is a member of the Milan Bar. He joined Studio Legale Padovan in 2026 after over 18 years of experience in Law firms specializing in customs law.
PRACTICE AREAS
Massimo focuses on customs law and customs litigation. He advises on royalties and licensing agreements, customs due diligence, export authorizations (AEO and authorized exporter), export and intra-Community transfers, Made in Italy and customs origin, customs classification, anti-dumping duties, RAE regulations, AEE, and CEE marking.
EDUCATION
Massimo has a law degree from the University of Parma. He attended the one-year Full-Time Master’s Degree in Tax Law at the IPSOA Training School in Milan, followed by the Advanced Training Course “Excise and Customs Duties” at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, and the Master’s Degree in “From Tax Assessment to Tax Proceedings” at the IPSOA Training School.

Massimo regularly speaks at professional and academic conferences and seminars on customs law, collaborating with the Milan Association of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts; AICE – Italian Foreign Trade Association; Fedespedi – National Federation of International Freight Forwarders; Alsea – Lombardy Association of Freight Forwarders and Road Haulers; Assolombarda; Confindustria Milano Monza and Brianza, Trento, Brescia, and Bari; Asdc – Association of Customs Brokers of the Milan, Piacenza, Bologna, Rome, and Bari Departments; Chamber of Commerce of Milan, Brescia, Trento, Genoa and Bari and is a teacher in the refresher and training courses of the CNSD – National Council of Customs Forwarders.
