PRIVACY POLICY COVERING THE USE OF COOKIES UNDER REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”)
Marco Padovan (referred to in this document as the “Data Controller”) acts as data controller for Studio Legale Padovan, which has its head office at Foro Buonaparte 54, Milan, Italy, and provides the user (referred to here as the “User”) with this policy statement, as required by Article 13 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 (referred to throughout as the ‘Regulation’), regarding the use of cookies on the firm’s website
http://www.studiopadovan.com/ (referred to here as the “Site”).
What are cookies
Cookies are small data files that contain a string of characters. The site sends these to the User’s device, where they are stored and then transmitted back to the Site the next time the User visits. Cookies can be first-party (set directly by the Owner) or third-party. Cookies are useful as they enable the Site to recognise the User’s device and allow the User to more easily navigate between pages, remembering the User’s preferences and improving the browsing experience. Certain types of cookies can, in addition, adjust the advertisements that appear to make them more appropriate for the User or relevant to the User’s interests, or they may collect information useful for evaluating and improving the performance of the Site and the effectiveness of campaigns and services offered. For more information about cookies, the User can click here.
The Site uses:
- Technical cookies for which consent is not required
These cookies (“technical” cookies) are “essential” in order to ensure the proper functioning of the Site and to offer services specifically requested by the User (such as, for example, storing the browser navigation language, etc.). Without these cookies, the Site would not be able to operate properly.
In compliance with the Regulations, the Site uses statistical analysis cookies to monitor usage. These cookies are configured to ensure maximum protection of user privacy, anonymising IP addresses and blocking the use of third-party tracking technologies.
The data processing resulting from the installation of these cookies is the property (art. 6, paragraph 1, letter f) of the Regulations) of the Owner, who ensures the proper functioning of the Site, as well as enabling navigation within it.
- Cookies for which consent is required
The Site also uses cookies to facilitate usage (e.g. to store information collected within a single browser session and entered by users into forms while navigating between different pages ), as well as cookies, installed by third parties that collect information in order to offer the User targeted promotional content based on user preferences and profiles, including in real time, and processed on the basis of statistics and the browsing experience of each individual User.
The installation of these cookies requires prior consent from the User under Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a) of the Regulations.
The User has the right to accept or reject the use of cookies at any time, or to remove any previously accepted cookies by changing the settings on his or her browser and thereby revoking any consent previously given.
The table below lists the cookies (grouped at feature or provider level) used on this Site. Third-party cookies appear with a link to the privacy policies of the relevant third-party providers, where you can find a detailed description of individual cookies and how these are processed.
If you would like more information on data processing by the Data Controller, including how to exercise your legal rights, you can find further information on how we process personal data in our Site Privacy Policy.
Managing Cookies
You can change or revoke previous consents to cookies at any time directly from this page by changing your settings and saving your new preferences.
You can also change consents to the use of the cookies itemised below.

Cookie ID consent: 4789bcce-267b-4341-91bf-7b24b6fda82b
In every case the User can disable/delete cookies directly from his/her browser by following the procedure provided in the section “How to disable cookies”.
The Data Controller will keep appropriate track of the User’s consent(s) through a special technical cookie, which is considered by the Privacy Guarantor not to be a particularly invasive tool. Specifically, the User’s consent is recorded and documented through the User’s anonymous IP number, the User’s browser, the website URL, the date and time of consent, and a unique encrypted password. After 12 months, consent is automatically removed from the registry.
The User may refuse consent and/or change his/her options regarding the Site’s use of cookies at any time, as set out in this section.
Withdrawal of consent – deactivation of cookies – deletion
Consent relating to the installation of all or just certain cookies can always be revoked.
The revocation of consent still allows for the Owner to handle such requests by deactivating these cookies.
The deactivation of cookies by the Site affects the relationship between the User and the Owner, but does not include uninstalling cookies from the User’s browser.
To delete cookies installed on the browser altogether, the User will need to take independent action on his or her browser by following the instructions given in the section below “How to disable cookies”.
Regarding third-party cookies, in addition to revoking consent with respect to the Owner, it is also necessary to revoke consent with respect to the third party organisation via the opt-out button, or by changing your preferences at https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices
