The professionals at Studio Legale Padovan have gained considerable experience in the Italian Golden Power regulations, relating to the special powers that can be exercised by the government in certain sectors in order to safeguard the assets of companies operating in areas considered strategic and of national interest. The relevant sectors include defense and national security, energy, transport, 5G, communications, advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, cybersecurity, nanotechnology, biotechnology, access to and control of sensitive data and information, dual-use products, health, the financial and credit sector, non-military aerospace technologies, and various others.

Activities
- Assistance in the interpretation and application of Golden Power regulations, with particular regard to verifying the existence of the conditions for application in terms of identifying both the relevant sector or assets and the type of transaction.
- Strategic support in structuring corporate transactions in compliance with Golden Power regulations.
- Assistance in drafting and filing notifications and pre-notifications required by Golden Power regulations and in the related administrative proceedings before the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
- Assistance in drafting and reviewing deeds, contracts, and corporate resolutions in light of Golden Power regulations.
- Support for continuous monitoring and internal compliance (including integrated compliance) of companies operating in strategic sectors with respect to Golden Power regulations and the applicability of such regulations to corporate transactions, deeds, contracts, or resolutions, including the preparation and review of internal compliance procedures and models and their possible integration with existing company procedures and models, and assistance in the interpretation and application of any requirements imposed by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
- Assistance with European Union and individual member states regulations, as well as those of third countries, on the control of foreign direct investments, through collaboration with colleagues in the AT+ICA network.
