PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Corrado Di Martino was born in 1965. His military career started in 1983 when he attended the 165th Course at the Military Academy of Modena. He has held numerous staff and command positions in various Army units and joint commands both in Italy and abroad.
In recent years, he served as Defence, Army, Navy and Air Force Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq; Head of the Security and Movement of Defence and High Technology Products Office at the Italian Defence General Staff’s 2nd Department of Intelligence; Head of the Export and Transit Division at the National Authority – UAMA of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI); and Expert in the export, import, and transit of armament materials at the Defence Industries Agency. In all these roles, he has acquired considerable expertise in the specialist field of export control regulations applicable to military equipment. General Di Martino joined Studio Legale Padovan since February 2025 as Of Counsel and a member of the firm’s International Trade Compliance Team.
AREAS OF PRACTICE
General Di Martino has extensive experience of the procedures related to the management and movement of armaments and associated supplies at both national and international level, as well as heavyweight knowledge of security issues.
EDUCATION
General Di Martino has a degree and a master in Strategic Sciences, as well as a second-level master’s degree in International Strategic-Military Studies.
