PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Maria was born in 2001 and joined Studio Legale Padovan as a trainee lawyer in February 2026.

AREAS OF PRACTICE
She collaborates with the Firm in the areas of trade compliance, export control, and international sanctions.

EDUCATION
Maria graduated in December 2025 with top marks in Law – Global Legal Studies at Università degli Studi Roma Tre, with a thesis in International Law entitled “Economic Sanctions and Contractual Obligations: a European Perspective.”
Her academic path focused on European and international law, with a pragmatic approach to legal issues.
In 2024, she spent a semester at Universiteit Gent (Ghent, Belgium) as an Erasmus student, deepening her study of law from a private international law perspective. In 2025, she was a member of Università degli Studi Roma Tre team participating in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, where she focused on issues related to the law of the sea.
She further developed her expertise in human rights by participating in a legal clinic in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), working on legal aspects of citizenship and statelessness recognition procedures.
